A Journey That is All About You

Developed in collaboration with professionals in psychology and sociology, our itinerary design service uses a carefully structured questionnaire to explore the way you experience, choose and connect with the world around you.
There is no traveller type waiting for you at the end, and no algorithm deciding where you should go. Your responses become material for a human designer to interpret—alongside conversation, practical requirements and everything we learn about you throughout the process.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

The way we see a place matters.

Part of our approach is informed by sociologist John Urry’s concept of the tourist gaze: the idea that we don’t all look at places in the same way. What captures our attention is influenced by our interests, experiences, expectations and the meaning we attach to what we see.
For itinerary design, that raises a more interesting question than simply “What should you see?”
What might be worth seeing through your eyes?

One journey. Every detail considered.

What an itinerary can include

We think about the things that make a journey feel right for the people taking it. Who wants to do what, when everyone needs a slower day, which experiences are worth making time for, and where a little flexibility might make all the difference. That’s where tailor-made really begins.

The right place to stay during your journey

Not simply a beautiful hotel, but the right hotel for this trip. Somewhere step-free for a grandparent, lively enough for the teenagers, close to tomorrow’s departure point—and perhaps with a family room that means everyone can actually stay together.

Days that feel right for you

A ten-hour private tour might be perfect for one traveller and completely wrong for another. We consider your interests, energy, pace and what you want from the journey, then shape each day around the people actually experiencing it.

Moments given the space they deserve

If Wednesday is your anniversary, we don’t simply reserve dinner for Wednesday night. Perhaps the morning starts later, the afternoon stays light, and you’re back at the hotel with enough time to get ready without rushing. The occasion shapes the day around it.

Space for Real Life in Every Journey

Children get tired, plans change, someone finds a shop they want to explore, or you simply decide you’d rather stay a little longer somewhere you love. We leave room for those moments too, because a journey should have space to unfold naturally.

It begins with understanding you.

How We Build Your Journey

Before we think about routes, hotels or what belongs on each day, we want to understand the person who will experience them. Our design process explores what draws you in, how you like to spend your time, what you value, and what you hope to take from the journey. From there, your Journey Designer begins with possibility rather than a predetermined itinerary, gradually shaping those possibilities with you until the journey reflects far more than where you asked to go.

01 — Tell Us Who You Are

Your journey begins with our design questionnaire, created to explore more than dates, budgets and destinations. Through carefully structured questions, we begin to understand your interests, preferences, pace, motivations and perspective—giving your Journey Designer a much richer starting point than a standard travel brief.

02 — Meet Your Journey Designer

Your responses are reviewed by the Journey Designer who will work with you throughout the process. They’ll consider what you’re looking for alongside your time, budget and practical requirements, making sure what we could create and what you expect from the journey are realistically aligned.

03 — Begin the Design Process

If we believe we’re the right fit for your journey, we’ll present the design fee and explain what the process will involve. Once you choose to proceed, your Journey Designer begins exploring the routes, places and possibilities suggested by what we’ve learned about you.

04 — See What Your Journey Could Be

Your first private session isn’t about presenting a finished itinerary. It’s about possibility. We’ll introduce different directions the journey could take—places, experiences, ways of travelling and ideas you may not have considered—then listen carefully to what draws you in and what doesn’t.

05 — Shape It Together

Across your next two sessions, your responses become part of the design. Ideas are explored, challenged, combined or left behind as the journey becomes more focused. What matters isn’t choosing from a catalogue of options, but understanding why certain possibilities feel right for you and using that to inform what comes next.

06 — Discover Your Journey

Your fourth session brings everything together. We’ll present the complete itinerary shaped through the process, from the overall route and rhythm to the stays, experiences and details chosen along the way—and show you how what we’ve learned about you has translated into the journey we’ve designed.

You don’t need to know exactly what you’re looking for.

Most travel planning begins by asking where you want to go and what you want to do. Ours begins a little earlier.
We want to understand what captures your attention, what makes you curious, how you respond to unfamiliar places, what you enjoy sharing with others and what you need from your time away. Some answers are practical. Others reveal preferences you may never have thought to mention when planning a trip.
Together, they give your Journey Designer a way to look beyond the obvious choices and begin exploring what might genuinely resonate with you.

Before Your Journey Takes Shape

That’s completely fine. You don’t need to arrive with a list of places, hotels or experiences in mind. Our design process is built to explore what interests you, how you like to travel and what you want from the journey, then turn those insights into possibilities you can react to and refine with us.

As involved as the person we’re designing it for should be. Your Journey Designer will guide you through four one-to-one sessions, beginning with broad possibilities and gradually narrowing them through your feedback. You won’t need to plan the journey yourself, but your reactions, preferences and ideas will completely influence what it becomes.

Yes. Budget is part of the design, not something we consider after the itinerary is finished. Before detailed planning begins, we’ll assess whether your expectations are realistic within the budget you’ve given us and discuss alternatives where something needs to change. From there, we can decide where your budget will make the greatest difference to your journey.

You shouldn’t have to. We consider the interests, ages, pace and priorities of everyone travelling, looking for experiences that work well together and opportunities to accommodate different interests where they don’t. A shared journey doesn’t have to mean spending every moment doing the same thing.

The earlier we begin, the more choice we generally have—particularly during peak periods, major events and for journeys requiring specific hotels, experiences or accessibility arrangements. That said, shorter lead times don’t automatically rule out a tailor-made journey; we’ll first assess what can realistically be achieved for your dates.
